Amyris to Offer $75 Mln in Senior Notes; Shares Decline

Amyris (AMRS) shares declined Thursday, after the biotechnology company said it proposed to offer $75 million aggregate principal amount of convertible senior notes due 2019. The notes will be offered and sold in a private placement. Amyris also intends to grant to the initial purchaser of the notes an option to purchase up to an additional $15 million aggregate principal amount of notes. The notes will be unsecured, senior obligations of Amyris, and interest will be payable semi-annually. AMRS was down 1.6% at $3.01 recently, in a 52-week range of $2.17 to $6.11.
