Columbus McKinnon Climbs 5%, Hits New 5-Year High - Posts Q4 EPS, Revenue Beat

Columbus McKinnon (CMCO) hit a new five-year high after it reported financial results for Q4 that exceeded analysts' expectations. Shares are up 5.19% at $28.99 mid-morning, earlier reaching $28.67 - the highest since August 2008. The designer, manufacturer and marketer of hoists, rigging tools and cranes reported Q4 net income was $9.6 million, or $0.48 per share, compared with the prior-year period's $52.03 million or $2.67 per share. On an adjusted basis, EPS was $0.52 versus $0.42 EPS in the comparable quarter a year ago. Revenue was $160.5 million, up 11% from $144.55 million in the same quarter last year. Analysts polled by Capital IQ were expecting EPS of $0.47 on revenues of $153.65 million.
