Apple sells 10ml new iPhones in 3 days

Apple Inc informed that they have sold more than 10 million new iPhones in just 3 days. IPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus - the news models - were released on Friday last in 10 countries. Such huge amount of purchase shows customer demand on big display smartphones. Apple received 4 million preorder for the new iPhones on September 12. The number of first-day pre-orders for the new phones is almost double compare to the pre-orders received for iPhone 5 model two years ago. Selling of iPhone 6 has been delayed in China duo to regulatory issues. When iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C model were released in 2013, Apple achieved 9 millions sales in 11 countries.

Chief Executive Tim Cook said on a statement that, the company could have more new models if the supply had been available. Cook also informed that their team have managed the manufacturing ramp better than ever before and they are working hard to fill orders as quickly as possible.

However, share of the Aplle were slightly changes at $100.98 in afternoon at the Nasdaq on Monday. The first quarter revenue of the company is approximately 9 percent higher than Wall street estimation. The estimation was based on the sales and projected demand for the new iPhones. Senior research analyst of Piper Jaffray, Gene Munster said, he expected earnings per share to be 12 percent higher than estimates.

Meanwhile, Cantor Fitzgerald analyst Brian White wrote in a note that,

Despite the supply chain constraints around the iPhone 6 Plus and tightness around certain models of the iPhone 6, we believe (Monday's) strong print demonstrates that Apple executed extremely well in the face of severe supply constraints, Fitzgerald wrote.

Opportunists are trying to buy the new iPhone models as much as possible to smuggle the new devices into China. Fights broke out among groups of Chinese customers outside Apples stores in New Haven, Connecticut in this regard. Police arrested three people there.

From September 26, new iPhones will be available in 20 more countries, informs Apple. Stifel Nicolaus & Co analyst Aaron Rakers wrote in a note that, the latest models would be available in 115 countries by the end of this year.
