Up next biggie of DC Entertainment is the Aquaman releasing for the Christmas weekend is expected to have a big bang opening for a new solo superhero film of DC in recent times. The film with its long range tracking, projected to have an opening weekend of $50 – 60 million. Clashing with films Bumblebee and Mary Poppins Returns, Aquaman will have to face stiff competition in the box office.

The James Wan directed superhero film has humongous expectations around the film and audience are awaiting an adventurous fantasy experience from the team. The opening might go up to $70 million opening number based on the increase in the buzz in coming days. The success of the film will be depending on the word of mouth, as multiple releases and high anticipations for the film will give it an apt run based on reviews.

The Mary Poppins Sequel releasing on December 19 is reported to open with $30 - $50 million box office as the film has a mighty franchise name. Another film Bumblebee, a spin-off film of Transformers is set to open with around $20 million. Among all these important Christmas releases Aquaman is having the biggest launch with high projections around the DC film.
