Kevin Feige, the President of Marvel Studios spoke about the upcoming superhero film Captain America in the British Academy Britannia Awards at Variety Friday. The man was honoured with Albert R. Broccoli Britannia Award for Worldwide Contribution to Entertainment. Meanwhile he shared some his thoughts about Captain Marvel film revealing some interesting factors of the film.
"It takes place in the 1990s and while it is an origin story of our hero, it is a very different type of origin story which we’re excited to unveil to audiences” said the chairperson of Marvel. He also said that the film had come extremely well and Brie Larson have done an amazing job for the film portraying Carol Danvers onscreen along with an equally good performance from Samuel Jackson who is seen in the young age of Nick Fury throughout the film.
The film is not completely adopted from the comic book and they have written a whole different story in order to give a strong inaugural story for the superhero and Carol has her own great character in the film. Nick Fury in Captain Marvel has equal importance that Carol has, saying who he is in the MCU so far and about his character.
The movie surrounds the war between the shape changing Skrulls and Kree, where Carol Danvers along with Nick Fury bring peace to the world. Captain Marvel stars Brie Larson, Samuel L. Jackson, Jude Law, Djimon Hounsou and Gemma Chan directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck. The film is releasing as the very next Marvel film scheduled on March 8, 2019.
