God of War Wins the Best Game Direction in The Game Awards 2018

The Game Awards is considered as "the Oscars" of the digital entertainment industry. It awards in different categories to the best video games of the year.

"God of War", which is developed by Santa Monica Studio and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment alias SIE, won the best video game of the year 2018 today. The award function held in Los Angeles (United States).

With other nominees like Marvels Spider-Man (Insomniac Games), Red Dead Redemption2 (Rockstar), Celeste (Matt Makes Games) and Assassin's Creed Odyssey (Ubisoft), this best action and adventure game, "God of War" won in the category. This game also won the best action- adventure and best direction out of eight nominations.

"Overcooked 2", developed by Ghost Town Games won in the category of the best family video game. "Florence" (Mountains) for "the best video game for mobile" and the best multiplayer video game is "Fortnite" (Epic Games).

Motion Twin's "Dead Cells" won the award for best action video game and for best fighting video game "Dragon Ball FighterZ" (Arc System Works), "Forza Horizon 4" (Playground Games) for the best sporting or driving video game  and Subset Games's "Into the Breach" won for the best strategy video game.

"Red Dead Redemption 2", by Santa Monica Studios, creators of the successful Grand Theft Auto (GTA) saga, won the awards for best narrative, best soundtrack, best sound and the best performance for Roger Clark, who put the voice at the protagonist, "Arthur Morgan".

University of Applied Sciences of Norway students developed "Combat 2018" won the prize for the best student video game with another nominee "Jena" developed by the group of Basque university students.
