After the big budget Superhero and Animation films taking over the US box-office so far this year, it is time for medium and low budget films releasing in the summer and mid of this year before the big films coming at the year-end. Recently released films Crazy Rich Asians, The Meg, Mile 22 and Alpha all were performing well at the box-office with the film Crazy Rich Asians emerging as the top-performing film. Among this weekend releases below are the notable films expected to top US Box-office.
The Sci-fi adventure film follows the story of the relationship between a boy and a robotic dog which would go to any extent to save him from dangers. The movie is based on the short film of the same name and is directed by Oliver Daly starring Thomas Jane as Miles, the boy. The movie is released by Sony Pictures this weekend the in US while the other region releases are yet to be announced.

The first preferred Crime Action film releasing this weekend is Melissa McCarthy starring Comedy film ‘The Happytime Murders’ directed by Brain Henson known for making Animated and kids entertaining film and TV series.
