Increasing Sex Crimes in Flight: Two men charged for Sexual Abuse in Seattle Flights

Two men were arrested and charged for sexually assaulting the passenger and were reported to have attacked the women and assaulted sexually. After the Sexual Assualt of a Detroit man in Spirit Airlines Flight that took place earlier theses similar incidents took place in two Seattle flights of Alaska Airlines and Norwegian Airlines that took place on January 10 and March 8, 2018, respectively in the mentioned flights. The case was read by the U.S Attorney Annette Hayes on Thursday.

 As per the charges, Babak Rezapour aged 41 of Van Nuys, California was reported assaulting the passenger sitting nearby by touching and rubbing her thigh while she was sleeping after her medication and when she tried to wake up, the man groped her continuously as said by the woman to the FBI when landed in the Seattle. The incident took place on January 10th during the travel from London to Seattle through Norwegian Airlines.

Another such case was read on Thursday’s session while the incident took place on March 8 in the Alaska Airlines flight. The 37-year-old Nicholas Matthew Stevens of Anchorage, Alaska reportedly assaulted the woman by groping her breast and thighs while she was trapped in the window seat. She reported police after landing in the Seattle airport and Stevens was arrested and taken into custody.

Both the men were proven guilty in the investigations on sexually assaulting and are charged with sexual violence against women. According to FBI, the in-flight sexual crimes are increasing from the past days irrespective of the size the problems. Meanwhile, they are demanding the passengers to raise voice immediately to the flight officials and call 911 when such incidents happen on air.
