Google Assistant Updated With 6 Voices And Google Home Added With Pretty Please Feature

Sundar Pichai, CEO of Google announced recently about the choice of six voices in Google Assistant for Android or Google Home that includes the voice of celebrity singer John Legend as a highlight. It was unveiled in the much awaited Google I/O Developer Conference in Mountain View, California. The choices were provided according to the taste of users of different age groups. Already, there exists a male voice and a female voice by default. So, there are currently 8 voices in Google Assistant.

Sundar further explained that this was possible with the "Wavenet" technology without the need of the actual actor or artist to spend all time for every command. It needs only less human recording and the remaining can be modified accordingly.

Google Home shall be teaching the children to be polite by means of "Pretty Please" feature. Kids have to say "Please" while instructing anything to Google Home. The feature has been added based on the need of parents who want their children not to be so commanding the Google Home fearing that this might change their behaviour. These update in the GA and Google Home shall be experienced by users in 2018 end only.
