Instagram announced about the feature 'who can see you our stories' about one and half years back and now the company added that option properly.

Now we can choose Close Friends list who we trust most or best followers and allow them to view the personal stories and information - photos, Videos or Text that we don't want to share and view by everybody.

So far, the option is everybody can view the information who follows us. Instagram had the option to restrict specific people from viewing certain stories but we have to individually select each person. Now the company allows its users to hide away the story posts that we don't want to seeing by everybody, instead just show them to a select group of friends or followers. This option is mentioned by Instagram as "more personal moments with a smaller group".

In their blog post,"Instagram Stories has become the place to express yourself and share everyday moments, but our community has grown - sometimes what you want to share isn't for everyone", they mentioned.

The feature is so simple - adding the close group. Go to profile and click on "Close Friends" option in side menu and choose people. Then when we share a new story, we will have the option to sharing only with the people in that list.

This option will available globally today for both iOS and Android users.

Finally, if we are chosen as someone's close friend list, we can see a green ring around the story post by them. Otherwise the followers or users will not know from the app that they are choose in or not. There is no option to ask to be added in close friends list.
