Features available in Volkswagen's new integration with Apple's Siri:

1. Lock/unlock the car from far away

2. Check the estimated mileage remaining for fuel

3. Check how much charge is remaining if it's an electric vehicle

4. Hear a car honk when the place of parking is forgotten

5. Command with a phrase to set the climate control temperature

Abdallah Shanti, Volkswagen's Global Chief Information Officer said "We are constantly looking at innovative ways to make VW Car-Net more convenient and relevant for our customers. With Siri Shortcuts, creating voice commands to use with our mobile app was a great opportunity to do just that. Integration with Siri helps our drivers keep eyes on the road and hands on the wheel."

Car-Net app is a subscription service that costs $17.99 per month, or $199 a year, so you have to pay to use these features.

Soon, Volkswagen may also integrate Amazon's Alexa into its cars as per its announcement last year
