Windows 10 has two new updates as announced by Microsoft last week. The updates are available for all versions of Windows 10 for which the users need not pay any money and are available free. Currently, they are available in only two versions of Windows 10 Creators Update (version 1703) and Anniversary update (version 1607). These two updated features which were well appraised by Windows users are expected to arrive the market at Summer of this year that was actually scheduled to be launched in 2017 end.
Termed as Windows 10 "Sets", the two new features received great response from Windows lovers. The first one is displaying many applications in a single window. For example, a user may be working for a whole day in various applications of Windows and finally, he has to shut down. The next day, if he wants the same workspace that he had worked on, he needs to remind and get back from his mind about the searches or incompleted tasks he had done.
In the new Windows 10 "Sets", a user working on Word document can open a new tab just like opening a tab in a browser window. Then, he can click on the other needed applications like browser or powerpoint without having to minimise or opening it parallelly. The user can also click on Office 365 tab at the left bottom of the new tab window and open the recent documents, the documents shared with him and others. He can even click on links saved in Microsoft Notes. This feature enables easy switching over and working with free mindset.
For retrieval of the same set of applications worked on the previous day, he can just open the word document alone. Immediately, a pop-up menu appears at the left top asking the user to open the related applications opened when working on the word document. The user may either open the needed one or all the related applications.
Windows 10 "Sets" gives an another updated feature to search on web while working on word document using the Research tool under References tab. Clicking on the tool, a search area like Google search page opens at the right and the user gets the necessary data quickly.
These two ideas sound good and definitely useful for employees and students involving in project works and research jobs.
