Chinese smartphone manufacturer OnePlus has introduced OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro officially on 14th May 2019. These two flagship smartphones come out with innovative features to compete with Galaxy and Pixel models in the mobile market and they are meant for targeting a varied set of customers but mostly on high-end customers.

Looking at the exterior design, notch and camera positions, the mobile OnePlus 7 looks similar to OnePlus 6T with 60Hz refresh rate but 7 Pro is made with an inspiring appearance as the front camera is placed in the pop-up module with 90 Hz refresh rate and its full-screen design outplays OnePlus 7.

Display

Display of OnePlus 7: 6.41-inch full-HD +Optic AMOLED with 1080 x 2340 pixels screen resolution, 19.5:9 aspect ratio and 402 PPI pixel density. Display of OnePlus 7 Pro: .6.67-inch Quad HD+ Fluid AMOLED with 1440 x 3120 pixels screen resolution, 19.5:9 aspect ratio and 516 PPI pixel density.

While, sRGB, DCI-P3 colour gamuts and Corning Gorilla Glass 6 Protection are available in both the models, Night mode2.0 feature is present only in 7 Pro.

Technical configuration of OnePlus 7 and 7 Pro are similar in many aspects and varied in some aspects.

Android v9.0, Qualcomm Snapdragon 855, 2.84 GHz Octa Core Processor, Adreno 640 GPU are available in both these flagship models.

While both the models having RAM Boost Feature, there is a difference in their RAM capacities. i.e., OnePlus 7 is equipped with 8 GB RAM and 256 GB internal storage while its basic version comes with 6 GB RAM and 128 GB storage space. Above all, OnePlus 7 Pro comes with 12 GB RAM and 256 GB internal storage.

Camera

Comparing their Camera aspects, 7 Pro has one extra camera than OnePlus 7. A primary camera of 48 MP (f/1.7 aperture) assisted by 5 MP secondary camera (f/2.4 aperture) is seen in OnePlus 7. upfront camera set-up. Optical Image stabilisation, Electronic Image stabilisation, PDAF support are the other supporting features available in both the mobiles.

Battery

While OnePlus 7 comes with 3700 mAh battery with fast charging support, 7 Pro has a 4000 mAh battery with Warp Charge fast charging support. Wireless charging is absent in both these models. Vibration motor is improved in OnePlus 7 Pro but not in OnePlus 7. Dolby Atmos, Noise cancellation, Dual stereo speakers are available on both the models.

Connectivity

3.5 mm headphone jack is absent in both the models. 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/A-GPS, NFC and USB Type-C port are the notable connectivity options available in both.

Overall, OnePlus 7 Pro exceeds in screen resolution, tripe camera aspects, large battery size comparing with OnePlus 7 making a price difference of Rs. 16,000 approximately. But, OnePlus 7 is of light weight and slimmer that it can be easily carried in pockets costing around Rs.33,000 approx.
