This weekend is very much looked forward to the wizarding universe enthralling the fans with its sequel of the yesteryear fantasy blockbuster Fantastic Beasts and where to find them. The film is set to open big with a huge reception all over the world, carrying a successful franchise name and an impressive plot. Lack of new biggies might help big time at the box office for an extended run until the Christmas season.

The film is expected to open with $70 million as a minimum figure at the domestic box office and the numbers might go beyond that depending on the building of anticipations in the next couple of days. The first film debuted with $74 million at North America carrying a huge expectation for the return of wizarding franchise through the spin-off and collected $234 million in its final run domestically. Globally the film collected a total of $814 million making it highly successful debut for the five-part franchise.

The sequel is expected to get an even better reception with a similar critical response. The first part got huge critical acclaim and became the first film of the wizarding franchise to get an Oscar. Though the second part is getting an average critical response with the early reviews, it is sure to get a bumper opening around the globe with more than $250 million for the first weekend.

The production cost of the sequel which is $200 million, is a bit higher than the first part, made with a $175 million budget. Though, the film is sure to taste the box office success with its debut week itself with a high opening. A positive word of mouth will easily do wonders at box office being a wizard fantasy film and spin-off of the Harry Potter by the legendary writer J.K. Rowling directed by David Yates.
