The 70th Emmy television awards successfully held on Monday night and awarded the best out of the television programs last year while the Netflix grabbed a total of seven awards dominating the award ceremony. HBO got six awards, FX and Amazon earned five each at the award night and Hulu which owned the outstanding series award last year went award-less.

Director Glenn Weiss won the award for Outstanding Director for a Variety special and the bigger thing is that he won all the hearts of the viewers on the stage by making a lovely proposal for his girlfriend and surprised everyone along with his fiancée Jan Svendsen. He said on stage "you wonder why I don’t like to call you my girlfriend? Because I wanna call you my wife".
